Canceled my Proton subscription

It is a pain to switch away from a service I used every day and and paid for since 2018, but after reading the recent 404 Media piece on the AI grifter CEO of Proton, I canceled my subscription. I was paying specifically to have the peace of mind, and the LLM usage patterns and pressure is the exact opposite of the atmosphere that supports sustainable company growth and ensures security.

Does the wallet voting actually work? I have my doubts. Is my trust irrevocably broken? I don’t think so. At the same time, this feels like the right thing to do.

Now to find the replacement that will take my money and offer to just get my email delivered reliably, eh… :)
